Membership shall be available only to young women 12 to 20 years of age
Consideration for membership will require meeting the following criteria: - Ride with the team a minimum of 5 practices - Pass a written test with a minimum score of 80% - Demonstrate horsemanship ability during a riding test - Demonstrate personality traits which contribute to group unity through good attitude, commitment and responsibility - Interview and final approval by the Drillmaster
Total membership in the Pikes Peak Rangerettes shall not exceed 20 members
Application for membership - All prospective members must complete the Application Form outlining their desire to participate - All prospective Rangerettes must provide all completed release forms to the Drillmaster before they will be allowed to participate in practices or performances
Members are expected to: - Own or have access to a specific horse - Maintain their horse in good condition; ride often at home to maintain fitness and endurance - Be aware of proper nutrition for their horse making sure that their animal is on a diet that maintains its health at a high level - Practice their horsemanship skills at home on a regular basis - Be able to provide transportation to and from practices and events - Provide their own saddles and tack - Provide some of their outfits (2 western hats, belt and boots) - Pay annual dues and expenses as required - Take exceptional care of the clothes and equipment provided to them
The Pikes Peak Rangerettes provide: - Headstalls and breast collars for performances - Most of the uniforms |
