Who We Are

Pikes Peak Rangerettes

HomeMembershipContact Us50 Year Reunion

The Pikes Peak Rangerettes were organized in 1957 by the Pikes Peak Range Riders to promote horsemanship, sportsmanship, responsibility and precision riding for young women of the Pikes Peak Region, and to promote the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. The Pikes Peak Rangerettes are organized under the authority of the Pikes Peak Range Riders Rangerette Committee.

Functions and activities are held to encourage unity, self-improvement and enjoyment of horse-related activities. Participation in civic activities, other horse related activities and academic achievement is highly encouraged.

Rangerettes will strive to reflect favorably upon themselves, the Pikes Peak Range Riders, the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, and their sponsors.

Rangerette performances and events include rodeos, parades and other appearances. In all performances, they will strive for uniformity in horsemanship ability and appearance and shall demonstrate good sportsmanship.

Rangerettes will be assisted and directed by the appointed Drillmaster (the organization’s manager and coach) under the authority of the Pikes Peak Range Rider Rangerette Committee. Parental volunteers are encouraged and appreciated under the direction of the Drillmaster.
